about

this is an audio document of five weeks i spent nepal in 1998. from kathmandu - to pokhara. and a trek to the villages behind annapurna - kagbeni and marpha.

everything was recorded on a simple hand-held cassette recorder.

this document is also the first time i used a computer to make any audio mixing. it was an experiment of what might become possible with this lo-fi material.

the result is like a an old film - dated, but not in a bad way - and something curious to re-listen to after all of these years.
